200kms south-west of Katherine and about 250 kms east of the Kimberlies

During the wet season (October-March) rivers like the Victoria flood their banks and many roads/bridges are impassable..

This tree stump (over 2 metres/6ft long) is a reminder in the dry season, being perched in a tree over 13 metres/40ft above the current water level of the river
