Western Australian Wildflowers

THIS IS PAGE ONE, CLICK HERE FOR PAGE TWO

In my opinion Western Australia is the most understated when it comes to natural tourist attractions,
it's 8,000 species of wildflowers is a good example of this.
People travel from across the globe just to see WA wildflowers in spring

South from Carnavon (paricularly the South Western corner of WA) this colourful aspect of nature can be observed
August through to November (spring-early summer) each year

my heartfelt thanks to Lorraine at Speddingup Farm, near Esperance for her generous assistance,
many of the photos were taken at her Wildflower Sanctuary
unfortuneately, this is her last year with the Wildflower Farm,
she and husband are taking off (like so many) to travel around Australia

where possible I have tried to include the common naming
because I don't speak/read latin and neither do most of
the people who visit this site
